A 50-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly brutally attacking his 40-year-old Lithuanian wife in Koropi, according to criminal proceedings initiated by the public prosecutor.
The man is also accused of causing bodily harm to a minor after reportedly striking one of his children.
He appeared before the prosecutor without legal representation on Friday. The case will now be handled by an investigator.
The 40-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Red Cross Hospital.
