Kerameus: More than 12,000 citizens have found jobs through the “Career Days”

The 50th ‘Career Day’ of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) is taking place at the Peristeri Exhibition Center on January 23 and 24, 2026, with the participation of more than 300 companies from different sectors of the economy. These companies are offering a total of over 8,000 job positions, covering all levels of qualifications and specialties.

The event, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., is attracting thousands of citizens who are looking for work or wish to change their career path.

In her statements, Labour and Social Security Minister Niki Kerameus, said that today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday, the “heart” of the labour market is beating in Peristeri, where the 50th DYPA ‘Career Day’ is being held.

As she noted, the aim of the initiative is to provide substantial support to citizens and society by connecting job seekers with companies that are looking for human resources.

‘So far, through the 49 DYPA “Career Days” that have been held in 19 cities across Greece, more than 12,000 of our fellow citizens have found employment,’ Kerameus said, adding that today and tomorrow in Peristeri more than 300 companies are offering thousands of jobs.

‘Thousands of citizens are arriving from early in the morning either to find a job or to change their professional path, taking part in meetings and interviews with company representatives,’ the minister added.

As she underlined, the state continues to support citizens with all available institutional tools, with the aim of providing access to jobs that offer prospects and professional fulfillment.

According to Kerameus, the creation of more and better-paid jobs remains a top priority.”
