Thessaloniki Mayor Boutaris meets with the Moroccan ambassador to Athens
The prospects of cooperation in the sectors of culture, tourism, education and entrepreneurship were the focus of a meeting on Friday between Thessaloniki Mayor Yiannis Boutaris and Moroccan Ambassador to Athens Abdelkader El Ansari.

Mayor Boutaris underlined the municipal authority's plans to create a Museum of Islamic Art in Thessaloniki and referred also to the support being offered by the city to Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the establishment of a department of Islamic Studies.
The Moroccan ambassador said that he will support the traditionally good relations between Thessaloniki and his country and lay the foundations for a new era.
