PM Samaras in northern Greece to attend anniversary event for New Democracy
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras arrived at Kallithea in Chalkidiki peninsula, northern Greece, on Friday evening to attend an event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of New Democracy, the party he leads.

Samaras will address the celebratory event at 12:00 noon on Saturday at the "Athos Palace" hotel. The hotel has been the site of the party's first preparatory congress in 1977, after its founding by Konstantine Karamanlis, as well as its first congress in 1979.
The event will be attended among others by former premier Costas Karamanlis, ministers, deputies and past officials of the party.
