Chancellor Merkel reassures Tsipras she is working for a solution at Eurogroup
German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday reassured Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras that she is working so that a solution is found at the Eurogroup on Friday, according to sources.
Following the visit of European Council president Donald Tusk in Athens, the German Chancellor asked to speak with her counterpart, sources said.
During the phone contact, Merkel said she was committed to the direction of finding a solution.
