Digital Economy Forum on May 7 to include keynote speech by PM Tsipras
The Digital Economy Forum 2018 on innovation will be held in Athens on May 7 by the Association of Information and Communication Companies (SEPE).
The opening remarks will be delivered by main opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will be the keynote speaker at the closing dinner of the meeting.
Participants include businesspeople in IT and other production sectors.
SEPE is an institutional partner of the Greek state, focused on the most effective use of information and telecommunications technology.
According to ICAP data, the sector in Greece includes 5,300 companies and employes 260,000. European IT Observatory (EITO) place the value of the sector in 2017 at 5.6 billion euros and its turnover at 13.6 billion euros, equivalent to 8% of the Greek GDP.
