Farmer to face prosecutor after shooting two teenage males in Crete

A 47-year-old man on Crete will face appear in front of a prosecutor in coming days on charges of attempted homicide after shooting and injuring two teenage males on Saturday.

The suspect told police that the two teenagers, aged 17, had entered his farmland in the area of Voutes with a vehicle and started destroying his watermelon crops.

The man said that he fired several shots in the air as a warning and that the teenagers then started to approach him in the car. The suspect claims to have then shot them two in self defence.
