European Commission satisfied over last disbursement to Greece
European Commission spokesperson Mina Andreeva on Tuesday expressed the Commission's satisfaction over the European Stability Mechanism's (ESM) decision on Monday to disburse to Greece the last loan tranche, of 15 billion euros.
Andreeva noted during the regular press conference on Tuesday in Brussels that ESM's decision to approve the last disbursment to Greece follows the overall agreement reached at the June 22 Eurogroup meeting which recognised that Greece "has fulfilled its engagements" regarding the fourth review and has adopted a "substantial package of reforms".
The disbursment is the "last important step before the end of the programme on August 20", concluded Andreeva.
