Excellent bilateral relations between Greece, Serbia at the centre of Pavlopoulos-Brnabic meeting
Greece supports Serbia's European perspective and recognizes its important role for security and stability in the region, President of the Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos said on Tuesday during his meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic at the Presidential Mansion.
Pavlopoulos spoke of the bilateral relations between Greece and Serbia, which are already excellent, noting however that there is room for improvement.
On her part, Brnabic conveyed the heartfelt greetings of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, adding that he will visit Athens in December in the framework of the Greek-Serbian Cooperation Council.
He also thanked Pavlopoulos for his personal contribution to the Greek-Serbian friendship and cooperation, as well as for Greece's steadfast support for the European perspective of Serbia and of the Western Balkans.
Finally, he reiterarated that a Strategic Partnership Agreement will be signed between the two countries by the end of 2019, which will open prospects for further cooperation, and thanked Greece for its position on Kosovo.
