Golden Dawn rally outside the Court of Appeals prohibited
By decision of the General Police Director of Attica, a Golden Dawn demonstration, which had been announced for 9:00 on Monday morning outside the Athens Court of Appeals, has been prohibited.
According to a relevant announcement of the General Police Directorate of Attica, "the ban on gatherings is imposed as its conduct poses a serious risk to public safety, due to serious possible crimes, especially against life, physical integrity, property and the state, while the disruption of socio-economic life in the specific area, to vehicle and pedestrian traffic and to the operation of the facilities of the judicial complex (Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Court of First Instance, Criminal Court, Magistrate Court) are seriously jeopardised.
According to the Greek police headquarters (GADA) announcement, "the organisers did not notify the local police authority of their intention to invite the general public to participate, in a specific place and time, in a public outdoor gathering as they should, according to the current legal framework."
