Moscovici: Decisions on Greece should have been faster, more democratic

European Commissioner for Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici on Thursday said goodbye to the Eurogroup, as Wednesday's meeting was the last in which he participated as Commissioner.
He said that when he first took part in a Eurogroup meeting as finance minister of France, the eurozone had been focused on the support programmes, while now it was focused on more long-term actions. In this framework, according to Moscovici, there had been mistakes and oversights - such as the decisions for Greece, which should have been taken "faster or more democratically".
"I am not here to judge; besides, politics is the art of the possible," said Moscovici, and said that he is proud of all that the Eurogroup has achieved.
