Work stoppages in metro, tram on Thursday suspended
Athens' tram and metro systems will be working normally on Thursday after workers in STASY, which operates Athens' track-based modes of public transport, decided to suspend the mobilisations planned on that day.
The suspension of the work stoppages came after Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis offered assurances that issues concerning their collective labour contracts for 2019 have been resolved, in consultation with the General Accounting Office of State.
