Armed robbery at Acharnes city hall
Police on Friday launched a manhunt to locate and arrest the perpetrators of an armed robbery at the city hall of Acharnes (western Attica).
According to police sources, two unidentified individuals holding guns stormed into the municipality’s finances department on Friday morning with their faces covered, while an accomplice stood at the entrance. The robbers held the employees at gunpoint and started searching for cash.
Afterwards, they got into a car and fled.
So far it is not known whether the robbers found any cash, nor what amount of cash might have been taken.
