Book of condolences to open for late Karolos Papoulias at Presidential Mansion
A book of condolences will open at the Presidential Mansion for the former Greek President Karolos Papoulias, whose funeral will be held at 13:00 on Wednesday at Agios Spyridon Church in Pangrati.
The book will be available at the entrance on 2 Vassileos Georgiou II on December 29 and 30, and at the hours of 10:00-14:00 and 17:00-20:00. All necessary health measures will be observed, the president's office said.
President Katerina Sakellaropoulou is delivering a eulogy at the funeral on Wednesday. Papoulias, who died on Sunday, will be buried on Thursday at the island of Ioannina in western Greece, where he was born. Only his closest relatives will attend, following current health measures.
