Aegina water pipe damage restored
A temporary fix to the submarine pipe suppying water from the mainland to the popular island of Aegina was completed, and the islanders can now have drinkable water, it was announced on Monday.
The municipality has given its approval to the works.
"Our promises are never on paper. We reduced the timeline and proceeded to all necessary acts, observing all prequired protocols," Attica Region Governor Nikos Hardalias said.
Hardalias also posted a 1.5-minute video presenting the issue as from the day a suit was filed at the Piraeus prosecutor's office on February 2 against persons unknown for the damage.
