"The agreement on the mid-term measures for the debt is a condition for the implementation of the measures in 2019," reiterated State Minister and government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos speaking on Wednesday (12/04/2017) to SKAI TV.
"After the April 7 Eurogroup meeting, we have entered the final stretch for the conclusion of the second review of the Greek programme, the steps are specific," said Tzanakopoulos adding that "the mid-term measures for the debt which constitute a condition for the IMF participation in the Greek programme will be discussed at the IMF spring meeting on April 21-23 in Washington. The return of the technical staff to Athens will follow, the prior actions will be defined and will be voted in parliament. Afterwards the Eurogroup will convene to approve the agreement probably on May 22 or earlier at an extraordinary Eurogroup meeting," explained Tzanakopoulos.
The mid-term measures for the debt will be determined now and will be implemented after the end of the programme, he noted.
