Parliament lifts immunity of former Health minister Polakis

In the first, Polakis is facing court for illegally taping a conversation he had by phone with Bank of Greece governor Yanis Stournaras. A total of 163 MPs voted for this, out of 176 MPs present in the session, and 13 against.

In the second instance, the former minister will be facing a suit filed against him by the former head of union for staff at the Hellenic Center for Disease Control & Prevention (KEELPNO), Stamatis Poulis, for verbal insult and defamation. A total of 162 voted for lifting immunity, 13 against, and one declared "present".
