Greece needs new strategy before new challenges, Foreign Minister Dendias says in opinion article
Greece needs a new point of view and a new strategy for foreign policy, as challenges are multiple, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said in an opinion article in Saturday's Ta Nea.
"We are formulating this policy in unity, based on the acquis of national consent on the main directions of Greek foreign policy," he wrote. "Greece is reorienting itself within the core of the EU and is redefining its relaions with strategic allies within the EU, contributing effectively and constructively to the formulation of new strategies required for the deepening of the EU."
He also said Greece is an equal partner at NATO, yet keeps strong relations with both China and Russia, while strengthening its ties to regional players such as Israel, Egypt and the Arab world.
