Turkish figher jets infringe Athens FIR, fly over Agathonissi and Anthropofaghi

A pair of Turkish fighter jets infringed the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) on Wednesday, flying over the island of Agathonissi at 14,500 feet at 13:59. Three minutes later the same aircraft flew over the islet of Anthropofaghi in the Fourni island complex at 14,000 feet.

At 14:03 another pair of Turkish F-16s that had also infringed the Athens FIR flew over Anthropofaghi at 26,000 feet.

In all cases, the Turkish aircraft were recognised and intercepted by Greek planes according to international rules.
