Marathonas fire under partial control, is not threatening homes
A fire that broke out in the Vranas area of Marathonas, East Attica, was brought under partial control on Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out shortly afer 15:00 on Sunday, the Fire Brigade said, and is burning olive trees and low brush withouth threatening homes.
A total of 35 firefighters with 10 fire trucks and 2 helicopters are trying to put it out, while volunteer firefighters are also assisting the efforts.
