NATO's helicopters performed an emergency landing in Zante

Two NATO helicopters made an emergency landing in Sunday, at Zakynthos Airport.

The helicopters, Chinook type, forced to an emergency landing, because one of them had an engine problem.

The two helicopters radioed a risk signal in 21.38 yesterday, February 24, while flying near Zakynthos. They asked permission for emergency landing at the airport of Zakynthos. The helicopters landed in 21.43, local time.

They departed from Italy and their final destination was Souda bay, Crete.

The airport was closed at that time, and as a result the helicopters were landed without lights.
The crew and the 19 Britain soldiers are fine.
