PODEMOS leader: Wind of change in Europe
The certainty that a wind of change is blowing in Europe, expressed in a statement to ANA-MPA the leader of Spanish Podemos Pablo Iglesias, who attended SYRIZA's campaign main rally in Athens.
Iglesias noted that on Sunday the citizens will have the opportunity to create a Greek precedent. Until now, they have Angela Merkel's delegate. I believe that the Greek people's pride will be shown in this opportunity for change.
Asked on whether a change in Greece means a change in Spain in the future, Iglesias «Not tomorrow but I believe that a wind of change is blowing over Europe. The name of change in Greek is SYRIZA and probably the name of change in Spain will be Podemos».
Finally, Iglesias addressed German Chancellor Angela Merkel saying that «we will negotiate very seriously but it is our duty to protect our people. Not any more people without the protection of the government. This is the message.»
