Three arrested for student's murder also suspected of another 10 robberies
The three foreign nationals arrested as suspects for the murder of a 25-year-old student on Filopappou Hill in Athens may also be charged with another 10 robberies, based on evidence uncovered by Attica police in their investigation.
According to police sources on Saturday, the two Pakistanis aged 17 and 28 and the 25-year-old Iraqi national are suspects in another 10 robberies mainly targeting tourists in the Filopappou area.
"These robberies, as in the case of the 25-year-old and his 23-year-old girlfriend, were also carried out by the perpetrators with the threat of a knife and broken bottle," the sources told ANA. "The method for committing the robberies was the same. We are continuing the investigation for uncover further criminal actions on their part," the source added.
The three will be led before an examining magistrate on Monday morning to testify concerning the murder of the 25-year-old student on August 15.
