Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias in Brussels for series of EU meetings

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias is visiting Brussels on Monday, where he will attend a series of meetings, the foreign ministry announced.

According to the announcement, Dendias left on Sunday for Brussels to attend the EU-Iraq Cooperation Council. On Monday he is scheduled to participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council of the EU.

The topics of discussion will be the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the situation in Tunisia, the ministry said, while under “Current Affairs” EU Foreign Ministers will exchange views on the situation in Iran and developments regarding the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue.

Afterwards, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will attend the Joint Session of EU Foreign and Defence Ministers, to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Compass one year after its approval, and EU support to Ukraine.

Lastly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the International Donors' Conference in support of the people in Türkiye and Syria, co-hosted by the European Commission and the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
