FM Dendias to meet with his Turkish counterpart Cavusoglu in Brussels
The meeting with the Turkish minister is scheduled for 14:00, Dendias said at his arrival for the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will meet on Monday with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, on the sidelines of the International Donors' Conference in support of the people in Türkiye and Syria that is being held in Brussels. The meeting with the Turkish minister is scheduled for 14:00, Dendias said at his arrival for the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
The topics of the discussion will be the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the situation in Tunisia, the ministry said, while under “Current Affairs” EU Foreign Ministers will exchange views on the situation in Iran and developments regarding the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue.
Afterwards, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will attend the Joint Session of EU Foreign and Defence Ministers, to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Compass one year after its approval, and EU support to Ukraine.
Lastly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the International Donors' Conference in support of the people in Türkiye and Syria, co-hosted by the European Commission and the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
