Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise

Equity prices were rising on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) on Friday. The basic share price was up 0.70 percent at 889.42 points at 11:00 and turnover was at 4.036 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.73 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 0.20 percent.

On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Raw Materials (+2.09 percent) and in Food (+1.03 percent).

The only losses were in Insurance (-2.48 percent).

Of the stocks traded, 40 were up, 13 were down and 10 were unchanged.
